Fagburn: I Don't Know

When asked a question Jean Genet often said; "I don't know."
"I don't know all the facts."
"I haven't really thought about that enough to formulate an opinion."
"I don't care."
I don't know.

    1. Surely an informed opinion is more valid than an uninformed one?
I always liked John Waters' quote: 'My policy is "unless you know the full story, don't judge", and you never know the full story."'

    2. Oh dear, I failed to disguise my irony; though the single scare-quotes were a clue, not to mention the over-the-topness of "about anything at all".

  2. But why not just say you haven't really thought about it and so it's probably best not to comment.
Like that HS2 rail thing - I LITERALLY have no opinion on it.
