Alan Turing: Local Hero

From The Londonist.

Two new sculptures of Alan Turing and Mary Seacole, near Paddington Station, London.
I think they look smashing.
Local residents voted on who should be depicted - there is also one of Michael Bond of Paddington Bear fame.
Turing was born in Maida Vale, and lived there for about five minutes.
You can sit next to a statue of Alan on a parkbench in Sackville Park, near Manchester's Canal Street, which seems more fitting.
There's also one at Bletchley Park
A rather pointless Private Member's bill to pardon Alan Turing is currently before parliament - such bills have bum-all hope of passing into law.
