Pride: Lesbians And Gays Support The Miners (Not Today's Workers)

Don't forget to get your free tickets to the Pride premiere today!

They are available from those well-known bastions of working-class solidarity, the Daily Mail and Gay Star News.

And at all Picturehouse cinemas.

That's right.

Workers from Picturehouse have been on strike most of this year.

And don't forget, one of the many reasons GSN is so abysmal is cause they think it's okay not to pay people who work for them, and just get some unpaid interns in.

Still, all hail Pride (the movie).

'I'd cross a picket line to see this feel-good movie about gays and trade unions and err...' Daily Mail.

'This is the best film ever since the last one we said that about*, can you put this on your poster?' Attitude.

* Weekend.

PS Other hilarious incongruities in the Daily Mail's film of the year.

Update: Another rave review, this time from Britain's only communist daily newspaper, the Telegraph!

  1. Judging by the poster, there's too little male totty for Attitude to pronounce it a good film. It's a shame Nick Griffin didn't have a 6 pac or he could have been one of their coverboys.

  2. Brilliant. Only acceptable screenings are when Noam Chomsky projects it from out of his arsehole onto the side of the Russian embassy.

  3. its a good movie, and though the trailer has been edited to look like a bland though slightly ribald comedy .it's much more than that..anyone who was about 20 in the early 80's should find it moving..if you allow yourself

  4. Great tribute to wonderful Mark Ashton - founding member of Lesbians & Gays Support the Miners

  5. Political cinema in this country is fucking shit though, isn't it?
    It's just cosy, ineffectual, soft liberal guff.
    Brassed Off, Billy Elliott, Pride, etc.
